Missions and Outreach

Lebanon Church seeks to live out the Gospel mandate to love and serve those in need.  We have a committee solely dedicated to this effort.  Among the things listed below, we at Lebanon prepare kits for the homeless, collect school items for teachers and students, make donations to other organizations and hold children’s activities and fun days.  Our goal is for our community to see us as Christians who live for Christ, who are friendly and who will help those in our community physically, spiritually and mentally.  A church focused on missions is a church that takes seriously the grace of God and the call of the Gospel, faith and works.

Solomon’s Closet

Every 1st and 3rd Tuesday morning of each month, from 10am to 11:45am, we serve the needs of our community through our clothing closet.  We named it Solomon’s Closet because in the scripture Solomon had more than any one man could desire.  He had so much that he could have given it away for free.  We offer men’s, women’s and children’s clothing for free for those in need.  Feel free to visit us so that we can help you and your family.  If you would like to volunteer please call the church office at (336) 882-9853.

Lebanon United Methodist Church has clothed thousands of people in High Point, North Carolina.  Along with giving out free clothes, we also give out Bibles.  We believe the Bible should be read and prayed over, for it is within the scriptures that we meet and experience Christ in a powerful way.  We like to clothe people physically, and clothe them spiritually.

Food Pantry

Every 1st and 3rd Tuesday morning of each month, from 10am to 11:45am, our volunteers work to prepare and hand out bags of sustaining food to those in need.  We believe it is our calling to help feed and clothe God’s children.  Our bags contain foods that can easily be prepared while offering nourishment and comfort.  “When I was hungry, you fed me.” If you would like to volunteer, or receive more information about this ministry, please contact the church office at (336) 882-9853.

Lebanon United Methodist Church helps to feed hundreds of families a year.  Our community knows us as those who sustain through food and clothing.

Pierced Ministry

Lebanon Church seeks to help those battling addiction.  We have partnered with Pierced Ministries, a drug rehabilitation program in High Point.  This ministry serves both men and women trying to overcome addiction through caring fellowship, Christian devotion and a transformation of Spirit and mind.  At Lebanon we serve the men and women meals on a monthly basis.

Bible Based Teaching

We teach the Word of God as divinely inspired.  We believe that the Holy Spirit was present as those people worked to create the body of texts we call the Bible.  Preaching and teaching at Lebanon affirms this belief.
